The question in Today was: "Should county commissioners dump their plan to increase garbage collection fees in unincorporated areas of the Space Coast?". My answer is: Yes, they should dump it. Not only is a 43% increase insane on top of the increase in taxes and insurance that home owners have suffered but there is NO benefit to each home owner, only to Waste Management. I am a 71 yr old widow, small in stature, and I doubt that I can wrestle those gigantic cans to the curb when they are full. I fill at least 2 cans a week with garden prunings but very little garbage per week. This proposal is NOT to my benefit and I oppose it.

I have never been to Kennedy Space Center, I suppose since I was born and raised in Florida, I have always thought that I would someday get down to visit, but have never felt the urgency to do so. Since I have lived six years in Europe and 13 months in Korea, it is not as though I lack the desire to travel, it just that this has always been home, so it has always been there.

If you make it to Central Florida, take the time to bring your kids and yourself to the Space Center. Seeing it on TV will never be the same.

We always go to Daytona Beach for vacation, and since it was raining one day we decided to visit the Kennedy Space Center. One of the first things you will see is the building with the giant American flag on it. It will make you feel like singing the National Anthem. And seeing a Space Shuttle on television doesn’t compare to seeing them up close and in person. The size of these things are breath-taking. There are many attractions to see at the Space Center, including the Space Museum, the IMAX Theatre where you get to watch a Shuttle launch as if you were about 2 feet away from it – AWSOME, the LC 39 Observation Gantry where you can view the Shuttle Launch Pad, the Apollo/Saturn V Center, and more cool things in the KSC Visitor Center. By the way, if you visit the Space Center coming from Daytona, you will cross a bridge that was used in the filming of 'Days of Thunder'. This is an ideal place for kids and adults to visit. Don’t forget to buy some SPACE FOOD!

I had no idea there was so much there. I though there was only the space program. I was delighted to learn about the nature preserved and getting to see the animals, especially the eagles. Fantastic!

Kennedy Space Center is the perfect place to take any child. Both educational and entertaining. I enjoyed it as a child and still enjoy my visits there as an adult. "Space Coast" is a must see! :-)

Can you imagine a more awesome sight?? I think not! Watching the shuttle take off and land for it's missions is something I distinctly remember from my childhood, and will never forget.

Universal orlando. This was a very fun exciting thrill place in Orlando. With Spider-Man ride, The Hulk coster, and much more. They also have water rides, such as Jurrassic Park, and section for kids rides. I have an annual pass now and go back several times a year. It is a really fun theme park in FLorida.

I think the Kennedy Space Center is definitely worth the while. You can take a bus tour that'll take you to all the interesting places. Even if you're not into rockets, you cansee some pretty amazing wildlife - gators, birds, and such. After all, the Kennedey Space Center is built on a wildlife refuge!
