Oviedo is strategically situated 12 miles northeast of Orlando. The city was incorporated in 1925. By 1950, Oviedo was the second largest town in Seminole County, with a population of 1,800 residents.

With the opening of the University of Central Florida in 1968, came the promise of greater growth. Despite its growth, the city tried to keep its small-town atmosphere. For the most part, the townspeople were pleased with the growth and welcomed newcomers, provided they were prepared to slip into the easy style of country living.

Surrounding Oviedo are lush sub-tropical hammocks with dense trees and fresh water lakes and ponds, perfect for fishing and boating. Enjoy golfing at the many area golf courses. The quiet relaxed ambiance allows visitors to enjoy the quietness of nature.

The beaches are close by which makes it a pleasurable trip, either heading east to the Atlantic Coast or west to the Gulf coast. Oviedo is just 30 minutes away from all the Disney entertainment parks!

This community is set apart with exceptional schools and churches, an outstanding university, a good climate, unique characteristics and wonderful people. These attributes serve as a magnet for both businesses and families.
